Chocolate Smoothie

I'm not going to pretend like I knew what bone broth protein was one year ago. And I absolutely would have looked at you funny if you had told me I'd be putting it in a chocolate smoothie. Oh, how far I've come in a year. So just to make sure we're on the same page, here are some facts about this Chocolate Protein Broth Powder from Natural Force (aka my new lover):

"When consumed on a regular basis, the type I and III collagen, gelatin, calcium, glucosamine, and chondroitin found in Organic Bone Broth Protein can help heal the gut, smooth wrinkles, soothe joints, and support overall health.*

Each scoop of Organic Bone Broth Protein provides 20 grams of clean protein, the same amount you would get in 2 ½ cups of homemade bone broth, and 0 grams of fat, carbs, or sugar.

It is Certified Paleo, Certified Keto, non-GMO, dairy-free, gluten-free, and made in the U.S.A. There are no additives whatsoever, so it’s a pure protein that you can feel good about mixing into smoothies, shakes, or sipping as a warm, savory bone broth tonic."

Oh yeah and it tastes like a dream, so yeah, I'm in. Recipe for this indulgent chocolate smoothie can be found below!

INGREDIENTS

1 cup cold, unsweetened, almond milk

1 scoop Natural Force Chocolate Bone Broth Protein

1/2 cup frozen purple sweet potato (frozen cauliflower would work nicely, too)

1/2 cup frozen spinach

1/4 cold avocado

1/2 tbsp cacao powder

1 tbsp cashew butter or almond butter

A few ice cubes, if needed

DIRECTIONS:

Blend almond milk and protein powder in blender or NutriBullet.

Add remaining ingredients and blend 'til thick and creamy.

Pour and enjoy! I topped mine with Gra8nola, a homemade mocha energizing ball (recipe can be found here), and a square of dark chocolate.

Please tag me if you whip up this concoction, @tiffanynapper. I love to see your smoothie creations!
